June 20 , 6:50am:ON NEW SERVER! Sorry we've been down for about a week now. Old web host went out of business and we had to make a change. WALTON SURF LIVES ON!!!!
June 19, 7Pm: Waist high peaks and off-shore winds with the approaching storm in the evening. FUN!
June 10 , 11am: Flat and it's gonna stay that way for a while. Hot and very humid. Full-on summer conditions!
June 8 , 9:30pm: Continued knee to thigh swell at the right break. Unrideable in most spots.
June 7 , 10pm: Knee to thigh high SW wind swell. Should hold for another day or so.
June 5 , 7:35am: Thigh to occasional waist high SW wind swell under knee high chop with a moderate E drift and heavy rain. Much better than it looks from the beach. Session cut short due to light show. Should stick around for maybe another day. Maybe. Heading to Port St. Joe for the next couple days (no surf there), so no update until later in the week. This weekend looks like our next shot of chop.
June 4 , 1:15pm: Knee high chop. There's a pretty good fetch behind the SW wind blowing out there. We should see some swell developing later today into tomorrow. See you out there bright and early tomorrow ....
June 3 , 7:45am: I planned on being home this morning for a session and then to update the site with new local pics BUT had too much fun yesterday in Florabama and Mobile. So, here I am this morning updating from Mobile, where, of course, it's flat. The top row, and bottom left were shot yesterday afternoon at the Florabama bar in Perdido Key (the bottom M and R are from Saturday AM in Walton). The pics do not tell the story. It was breaking there much like a going off day in South Beach, Miami. And, like Walton County in the monring, not a flippen person was out!!! Crazy. Well, it looks to go flat this afternoon in Walton County. We may have a shot of a West wind swell Monday afternoon into Tuesday, but I'm not counting on it. Later in the week looks like a better bet.
June 2 , 7:30am: Surfed 5:30 to 6:30am. Consistent glassy waist high swell to chest high on the sets, breaking mostly all at once and exploding on the sandbars. Head high bomb every 5 to 10 minutes. Absolutely no one out (it took me 20 minutes of searching to find the above guy)... unbelievable .... this aint South Florida! Although there were some fun longboard sets, Barry swell is pretty much a shortboard wave. Size should increase today, before quickly dying out tomorrow. Charge it!!!! Now!
June 1 , 6:50am: Our friend from down S has arrived. Semi glassy consistent thigh to waist high swell. Should pick up to the chest high range. But, why wait? Go surf now!
